Kid Friendly Valentine's Crafts!

Kid Friendly Valentine's Crafts!

Valentine's is such a nostalgic holiday - I reminisce about passing out Valentine's in class, making crafts, and eating sweets. Here are some fun, easy at home crafts for you to embrace  he holiday with your little ones!

1. Heart Sun Catchers

This project is so fun and easy to prep! Cut some heart shapes out of plastic and create geometric shapes using glue- then let dry (we recommend prepping the night before so that it can dry without having to wait to color). Then, have your little one color in the shapes with a permanent marker. Once dry, you'll have an eye catching sun catcher! Hang it up in the window or let your little one play with the shadows it makes on the walls and floor.

Pro tip: This is a great way to recycle those plastic bakery containers that muffins and croissants come in.

2. Fingerprint Heart Magnets

This craft is so perfect because you can make as many as you want and give them to family as keepsakes! Create a heart by overlapping thumbprints at a slight angle using a non-toxic inkpad or lightly brushing acrylic paint- then glue them onto a glass stone from any craft store (you can also find them on Amazon for my fellow Prime obsessed peeps)

Pro tip: Make a magnet for every member of the family to have personal and adorable magnets to commemorate this time.

3. Fork Painted Love Monsters!

Who doesn't love an adorably scary Valentine's monster? This project is one of my favorites because you can usually make it with things you already have at home! You'll mostly need paper, paint, a plastic fork, and a paper plate but feel free to get creative and decorate your monster however you want.

Pro tip: As with everything, adding a bow makes it even cuter!

4. Pom Pom Love Bugs

These little love bugs are so easy to make! You can really have fun with color combinations and even use glittery pom poms for those glam love bugs! They're also so easy to clean up - the only messy material is a bit of glue which you can help your little one with to minimize mess!

Pro tip: Bend those antennae's into little hearts to make them even more festive!

5. Double-sided tape Valentine's Hearts

This is probably the least messy craft and so easy to prep! This would be so fun in a group, you can put out so many materials and let the little ones have creative freedom. Lay out different materials like buttons, pom poms, pipe cleaners, or whatever else you might have in the craft closet!

Pro tip: Write a message under the heart and then hand them out for Valentine's. Great gifts for grandparents, parents, teachers, etc.
